Apollo is a sound player providing you with what you really need; No more, no less.
It has a user-friendly, compact, playlist-oriented user interface
running under the X Window System using Qt for its GUI. Only Linux has been tested, but it
may very well work on other unices as well. Apollo currently plays MP3 files by acting
as a front-end to mpg123.

We created Apollo because none of the MP3 players available
satisfied our needs. Either they had no GUI or they had too much of it. We took inspiration
from a similar MP3 player for Windows, and
started writing Apollo from scratch. See the docs
for a more detailed explanation.
